and owner

Gloria is the Founder and Owner of Recalibrate. Gloria established Recalibrate after nearly a decade of corporate experience, including:

  • Owning a multi-million dollar P&L, directing consulting project delivery, developing talent, and driving growth as an executive leader at consulting firm, Sense Corp

  • Working directly with three Fortune 100 companies’ CXOs and executive managers in technical, strategic, and operational capacities

  • Leading a two-year, 50+ person, business intelligence program to enable Spectrum’s $65bn acquisition of Time Warner Cable

  • Prior to consulting, working briefly at Texas Instruments in M&A and at Polycom in Corporate Finance

In late 2017, after an unexpected medical battle, Gloria realized how lacking but needed science-based stress management was in today’s high-pressure world. Discovering a new passion, she pursued education in science-based mindfulness in 2018 and soon after, decided to leave the corporate grind to establish Recalibrate, on a mission to help people think clearer, feel better, and live optimally.

Gloria has had a longtime passion for philanthropic and social work. She co-directed Sense Corp’s Outreach efforts that has provided over $4 million in pro bono consulting services to nonprofits such as College Forward and Texas 4000. She also served with Austin’s Social Venture Partners, who support the social sector with business leadership and mentoring.

Gloria's formal education includes:

  • Mindfulness & Neurowellness Education

    • Mindfulness Teacher Certification via the 160-hr SOMA (Science of Mindful Awareness) Meditation Teacher Training at The Mindfulness Center in Washington, D.C.

    • Enrolled in Fall 2018 Coherence Therapy training led by renowned clinicians Dr. Tori Olds and Dr. Sydnor Sikes. Coherence therapy works with the nervous system to uncover and integrate unconscious beliefs that can cause dysfunction or suffering.

  • Corporate Education

Jennifer is a CPA and former finance professional with a decade of diversified experience.  She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was responsible for the audit of a large publicly held company which included a $5B acquisition and two sizeable public debt offerings.  She then made the shift into finance where she spent the majority of her career at the multi-national solar company, Sunpower.  During her time in finance, she owned the financial projections of a $250M+ business unit.

Jennifer’s mindfulness journey began in mid-2017 after a good friend introduced her to meditation apps and her passion and interest only grew from there.  Struggling with work anxiety and feeling lost in her career, she turned to meditation and a social media breather to self-reflect and come to the realization that she wanted to exit the corporate world.

Jennifer and Gloria connected over their similar journeys out of the corporate world and for their shared passion for mental self-care. Jennifer eagerly joined Recalibrate early in its founding stages.
